For example, we cannot create a user account for you or make reservations, rentals, and/or bookings for you if we do not have your name and contact details.

a) Creating User Account: When you create a User Account or modify any information within the User Account, we may collect your Personal Information such as name, email address, username, password, and phone number.

b) Making Reservations, Rentals, and/or Bookings for Services or Using Services: When you access the Mekong Smile Platform (even if you do not register an account or log into an account), make reservations, rentals, and/or bookings for any Services, or use the Services, we may collect and process specific information (which may contain your Personal Information or related non-identifiable personal information) including, but not limited to:

  • Responses and feedback from surveys conducted by Mekong Smile related to the Services and newsletters that may be published, circulated, or distributed by Mekong Smile.
  • Automatically collected and stored information on our servers or by third parties providing services to us through the use or access of the Mekong Smile Platform (including your User Account’s username and password, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, browser information, device information including Unique Device Identifier (UDID) information, accessed pages, previously visited pages, or subsequent pages visited).

c) When you use your mobile device to access the Mekong Smile Platform, we may collect information about you and your mobile device as mentioned above. This may include location information if you have consented and configured your mobile device to provide us with that information or if you upload location-tagged photos to the Mekong Smile Platform. This location information will be used in ways and for purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. For example, we may use your location to suggest nearby Services for your trip or provide personalized content. You can change the privacy settings of your mobile device at any time to deactivate location-sharing features. Please note that some features of the Mekong Smile Platform may be affected if you turn off the location-sharing feature. If you make reservations, rentals, and/or bookings for other users through the Mekong Smile Platform, we may require Personal Information about those users. For instance, Mekong Smile will use Personal Information and other data collected through the Mekong Smile Platform or during the purchase of Services to create your User Account, complete necessary information for reservations, rentals, and/or bookings, provide you with Services, enhance the Mekong Smile Platform and Services, and connect you with related Services. This encompasses using your Personal Information or other data to expedite purchase requests, better customer support, and timely notifications about new Services and special offers. Periodically, we may also use your Personal Information to reach out regarding your feedback related to the use of the Mekong Smile Platform, to assist us in improving the Mekong Smile Platform, or to provide promotional programs or special savings to you if you have expressed consent to receive such communication. If you do not wish to receive notifications about promotional programs or special savings, you can simply opt out by responding to us via the provided link in those notifications.

c) If you are an Operator, to any travelers related to the Services you provide.

d) To our service providers (including Google Analytics), entities with which we interact to perform certain services on our behalf such as web hosting services, data analytics, marketing, market research, and customer service to you.

f) Between companies within the Mekong Smile group. In the event of a transaction involving the sale, merger, acquisition of a company or the restructuring or reorganization of other companies, your Personal Information may be disclosed, shared, or transferred to a new controlling organization or authorized third party to carry out our business operations.

g) To consultants, agents, or other related parties to protect the rights and property of Mekong Smile.
