The eco-tourism area – Ut Dzach Fine Rice Vermicelli is located at 509, 61B National Route, Nhon Binh Hamlet, Nhon Ai Commune, Phong Dien District. The way to the destination is full of green trees, flowers, and cozy houses. Because the road is quite small, tourists should just get there by motorbikes. Also, the atmosphere is fresh and green with many fruit orchards, rivers, and green bamboo.

Firstly, visitors get to Phong Dien District. Then, they get on the Vam Xang ferry to Muong Ngang – a local wharf. Turn right and go along the road about 30 meters, visitors can see the Ut Dzach family.

According to Mr. Tran Thien Canh (the son of craftsman Chau Kim Thuan),  making the Fine Rice Vermicelli is a tradition of his family existing for 50 years. Fine Rice Vermicelli is different from other kinds of Fine Rice Vermicellis because its taste is sweet and salty enough and soft without any food additive.  The Rice Vermicelli also looks like patterns of a hammock so people called it “Hammock shaped Fine Rice Vermicelli”.

At first, Ms. Chau Kim Thuan made the vermicelli to serve her family and support her neighbors when anniversaries or parties were organized, but not for selling. After that, fulling her children’s wish, she decided to establish a business serving Fine Rice Vermicelli. The business then became an ecotourism destination attracting many tourists.

In the past few years, Mr. Canh has invested to develop the business and traditional handicrafts. The traditional handicraft was officially opened in December 2013. There is an average of 100 visitors on holidays and weekends to visit the place.

Muoi Cuong Coaca Farm

Muoi Cuong cocoa farm has an area of 1.2 ha and is covered by the shadow of cocoa trees. Especially, there are over 2,000 cocoa trees and 15 kinds of cocoas here, mostly Trinitario cocoas. Especially, some are from 30 to 50 years of age. Mr. Muoi Cuong applies a traditional method to grow cocoa trees and he rarely uses pesticides or chemicals to maintain the cocoas. The ripe cocoas have a red or yellow color and the unripe ones have a green color. Therefore, the cocoa farm is a combination of ecotourism, homestay, and farming.
